after reading (on a target link) that this unit was 14.25 inches wide, i called to confirm with a customer specialist, since my window can only accommodate an a.c. this size. the specialist was unable to access the specs on this air conditioner - something i think is inexcusable; target should have all this information readily available to both customers and customer specialists. she told me i could return the unit if it didn't fit the window. when the a.c. arrived it was more than 20 inches wide! i then had to find a way to return this heavy, difficult-to-carry item, and had to wait to receive a new one while living in sweltering boston. i don't know how good the a.c. is, but the customer service was terrible.
